This morning I came across a mushroom growing on the Greenbelt that I had never seen before.

I learned that the Split Gill mushroom (unsure if it’s one word or two) is common all over the world on rotting wood. Some cultures eat it. However, according to what I found on iNaturalist, it could cause allergic reactions or sinus issues.

I enjoy greenery. Mushrooms are always entertaining to look at too. Nature is so detailed and beautiful. Though, I don’t think I’ll ever be off of my allergy meds.
